Every digital card has a QR code connected to its public VCard address. When a visitor scans the code with a phone or tablet, the device opens the digital card without requiring the visitor to type its web address.
The system provides controls for:

Use QR-Code Color to choose the color of the QR code’s visible pattern.
The standard and safest choice is a dark color, such as:
The selected color should contrast strongly with the background.
A dark brand color can be used instead of black when the code remains easy for mobile cameras to recognize.
Avoid very light colors, especially when the QR background is also light.
Use Background Color to choose the color behind the QR pattern.
A white or very light background normally provides the strongest contrast.

The QR-Code Color and Background Color controls appear together at the beginning of the customization screen.
Use Select Style to change the appearance of the smaller pattern elements that form the QR code.
The programmed QR style labels include designs such as:
The exact appearance is shown after the configuration is applied and the QR code is generated.
The pattern is presented using dot-like elements. This can create a softer and more modern appearance.
The pattern uses traditional square elements. This normally provides the most familiar QR-code appearance.
The pattern uses rounded elements to create a smoother branded design.
When the code will be printed very small, the Square style is generally the safest starting point. Decorative styles should always be tested by scanning the final image.
Use Select Eye Style to change the appearance of the three larger position markers located in the corners of the QR code.
Available style labels include square and circular treatments.
The eye style changes the visual design but does not change the destination of the QR code.
Choose an eye style that remains visually distinct from the smaller pattern elements.

Turn on Use This Configuration when you want the selected colors and styles applied to the VCard’s generated QR code.
When the switch is turned on, the system uses the saved:
When the switch is turned off, the custom configuration is not applied in the same way, and the system can continue using its standard QR presentation.
After changing the switch, select Save.
The switch is located directly below the style controls.
The Custom QR-Code option allows the user to upload a prepared QR code image instead of using the system-generated color and style configuration.
To upload one:
The upload control accepts an image and displays either the existing custom code or the system’s default QR image in the preview area. The interface uses a square crop for the uploaded image.
When a custom QR code image is uploaded, the system uses that image instead of generating the QR code from the color and style configuration above it.
This means the uploaded image takes priority over:
Use either the generated configuration or a prepared custom image, rather than expecting both methods to be combined.
The custom image should already contain a functional QR code that points to the correct public VCard address.
Before uploading a custom QR code, confirm that:
A high-resolution square source image should be used so the QR code remains clear when downloaded or printed.
Do not upload an ordinary logo or decorative image into the Custom QR-Code field. The image must be a working QR code.
A logo may be included inside a custom QR code when the image is created using an external design or QR-generation tool.
Keep the logo centered and relatively small. The code must retain enough visible pattern information for scanning.
After uploading a logo-based QR code:
Do not distribute or print the image until the scan test succeeds consistently.
To replace the existing image:
The replacement does not change the card’s basic details. It only changes the QR image used for that card.
The visible QR section is controlled from Basic Details 3.
To show the QR code as a section on the public card:
When enabled, visitors can see the QR code while viewing the digital card.
When disabled, the visible QR section is hidden.
This control is separate from the customization settings. A QR code can be customized even when its public section is hidden.
To allow visitors to download the QR code from the public card:
When enabled, the public card provides an option for downloading the QR code.
When disabled, visitors cannot use that public download icon, although the account owner can still manage and download the QR code from the dashboard.
The Download QR Icon and QR Section are independent controls.
Use QR Code Download Size in Basic Details 3 to control the dimensions of the generated download.

The largest available generated size and the preferred choice when the code may be resized or used in larger printed materials.
When uncertain, choose the larger size and reduce it during design. Enlarging a small raster image later can cause blur.
The card owner can download the QR code directly from the VCards management page.
To download it:
The generated QR code points to that card’s public URL and uses the download size stored for the card.
When Display Download QR Icon is enabled, a visitor can download the QR code from the public VCard.
The exact location of the download control may vary according to the selected card template.
Visitors should:
This is useful when customers, event organizers, team members, or business partners need a copy of the card’s QR code.
Always test the actual downloaded file instead of relying only on the editor preview.
To test it:
Test again after placing the code into a flyer, brochure, or other graphic because resizing, compression, and background effects can affect scanning.
The generated QR code is connected to the card’s public URL Alias.
When the URL Alias changes, previously downloaded QR codes may continue pointing to the former address.
After changing the URL Alias:
Finalizing the URL before printing prevents unnecessary reprints.
After making changes, select Save.
The system records the QR customization and uploaded image for that digital card.
The customization screen provides:
The Save button applies the changes. The Discard button leaves the screen without saving the current edits.
Select Discard when you do not want to retain the current QR changes.
Discard returns to the VCards page and keeps the previously saved QR configuration.
It does not:
Maintain strong contrast between the pattern and background.
Leave clear empty space around all four sides of the QR code. Do not allow text, borders, photographs, or decorative elements to touch the pattern.
Do not stretch the QR code into a rectangle. Keep its width and height equal.
Avoid placing the code over a complex photograph unless it has a solid background panel.
Do not compress the image excessively.
For printed materials, use a size that can be scanned comfortably from the expected viewing distance.
Always include a brief instruction near the code, such as:

Increase the contrast between the QR color and background. Try a black code on a white background.
The printed code may be too small, blurred, stretched, or surrounded by insufficient empty space. Reprint it at a larger size.
Confirm that the custom QR image was generated using the correct VCard URL. Replace the image when necessary.
The URL Alias may have changed after the code was downloaded. Generate and download a new code.
Confirm that Use This Configuration is turned on and that the settings were saved.
This is expected. A custom QR image overrides the generated color and style configuration.
