36.1 Overview

The Products Categories and Products sections control the catalog displayed inside a public WhatsApp Store.

The catalog-management workflow includes:

Creating Product Categories
Editing Category names
Deleting unused Categories
Creating Store Products
Assigning Products to Categories
Entering Product descriptions
Setting Net and Selling Prices
Uploading multiple Product images
Recording Total Stock
Recording Available Stock
Editing existing Products
Removing individual Product images
Deleting Products
Monitoring inventory
Testing public Product pages
Testing cart quantities
Managing out-of-stock Products

The WhatsApp Store editor provides separate menu destinations for Products Categories and Products. The customer routes provide create, edit, update, and delete operations for Categories and Products, together with a separate operation for removing individual Product media.

36.2 Categories Versus Products

Categories organize the catalog.

Products are the individual items, packages, or offerings visitors browse and order.

Example:

Category:
Financial Education

Products:
Student Workbook
Teacher Training Guide
Moneyality Assessment
Classroom Curriculum Package

A Category does not contain pricing or inventory.

A Product contains the customer-facing information and can be assigned to a Category.

36.3 Categories Versus Store Templates

The selected WhatsApp Store template controls how Categories and Products are visually presented.

The Category and Product records remain part of the Store even when its template is changed.

A template change may affect:

  1. Category layout
  2. Product-grid size
  3. Image cropping
  4. Product-card design
  5. Price presentation
  6. Cart-button placement
  7. Product Details page
  8. Mobile navigation

Changing the template does not replace the Category or Product information.

36.4 Store Products Versus VCard Products

WhatsApp Store Products are different from Products created inside a VCard.

VCard Editor → Products:
Products displayed directly in one digital card.

WhatsApp Store → Products:
Products displayed in a separate Store with Categories,
cart quantities, stock fields, and WhatsApp Store Orders.

Creating or editing a Product in one area does not automatically update the other.

Opening Categories and Products

36.5 Opening the Store Editor

To manage the catalog:

  1. Sign in to the customer dashboard.
  2. Select WhatsApp Stores.
  3. Locate the correct Store.
  4. Select Edit.
  5. Confirm the Store Name.
  6. Select either Products Categories or Products.

The Store submenu contains separate entries for both sections.

36.6 Confirm the Correct Store

Before creating or editing catalog information, confirm:

Store Name
Store Logo
Store Alias
WhatsApp Number

This is especially important when the account manages several Stores.

A Product added to the wrong Store may appear publicly under the wrong:

  1. Business
  2. Brand
  3. Location
  4. WhatsApp account
  5. Pricing structure
  6. Inventory
  7. Shipping policy

Planning the Category Structure

36.7 Create Categories Before Products

A clear operational sequence is:

1. Plan the catalog.
2. Create Categories.
3. Create Products.
4. Assign each Product to the correct Category.
5. Test the public Store.

Creating Categories first makes Product entry faster and reduces incorrect assignments.

36.8 Recommended Category Structure

Use Categories that customers immediately understand.

Good examples:

Books and Workbooks
Digital Courses
Consulting Packages
Clothing
Accessories
Home Décor
Food
Beverages
Travel Packages
Beauty Products
Technology Products

Avoid vague Categories such as:

Items
Other
Category 1
New
Miscellaneous
Products

36.9 Keep Categories Broad Enough

Do not create a separate Category for every Product.

Overly narrow structure:

Red Shirts
Blue Shirts
Green Shirts
Black Shirts

Better structure:

Shirts

Product names and descriptions can identify the available colors.

36.10 Avoid Categories That Are Too Broad

One Category named Products may make a large Store difficult to browse.

For example:

Books
Training Programs
Assessments
Digital Downloads
Consulting Packages

is easier to understand than placing every item under:

Products

36.11 Category Naming Consistency

Use consistent capitalization.

Recommended:

Digital Courses
Printed Workbooks
Training Packages

Avoid:

digital courses
PRINTED WORKBOOKS
training Packages

Category names are part of the public Store presentation.

36.12 Avoid Duplicate Categories

Before creating a new Category, review the existing list.

Possible duplicates include:

Books
Book
Printed Books
Books and Materials

Combine Categories when they serve the same customer purpose.

Duplicate Categories can divide related Products and make Store navigation confusing.

Creating Product Categories

36.13 Opening Products Categories

To open Category management:

  1. Open the applicable WhatsApp Store.
  2. Select Products Categories.
  3. Review existing Categories.
  4. Select the Add or New Category action.

The application provides Category store, edit, update, and delete operations for WhatsApp Store Product Categories.

36.14 Entering the Category Name

Enter a concise public Category Name.

Example:

Professional Training

The name should describe the Products assigned to it.

Avoid entering:

  1. Internal inventory codes
  2. Private department abbreviations
  3. Temporary notes
  4. Employee names that customers do not recognize
  5. Promotional sentences

36.15 Saving the Category

To save:

  1. Enter the Category Name.
  2. Review spelling.
  3. Confirm the correct Store.
  4. Select Save.
  5. Wait for the success response.
  6. Confirm that the Category appears in the list.
  7. Open the public Store and confirm its presentation.

The Category may remain empty until Products are assigned.

36.16 Creating Several Categories

Create one Category at a time.

Example Store structure:

Category 1:
Digital Courses

Category 2:
Assessments

Category 3:
Printed Materials

Category 4:
Consulting Packages

After creating all Categories, review the full list for duplicate or overlapping names.

36.17 Empty Categories

An empty Category contains no assigned Products.

Depending on the template, an empty Category may:

  1. Appear without Products
  2. Display an empty result
  3. Remain hidden
  4. Produce a no-products message

Do not distribute the Store with unnecessary empty Categories.

Editing Categories

36.18 Opening Category Edit

To rename a Category:

  1. Open Products Categories.
  2. Locate the Category.
  3. Select Edit.
  4. Change the Category Name.
  5. Select Save or Update.
  6. Confirm the new name in the list.
  7. Test the public Store.

The customer routes include a dedicated Category edit destination and update operation.

36.19 Renaming a Category

Renaming the Category should preserve the Category record and its assigned Products.

Example:

Old Name:
Training

New Name:
Professional Training Programs

After renaming:

  1. Open the Category publicly.
  2. Confirm that its Products still appear.
  3. Review navigation links.
  4. Review mobile layout.
  5. Confirm that the new name is not too long.

36.20 Category Name Length and Layout

Long Category names can affect:

  1. Menu width
  2. Category cards
  3. Mobile wrapping
  4. Store navigation
  5. Product filtering
  6. Visual alignment

Use the clearest concise wording.

Instead of:

All of Our Available Business Technology Consulting Service Packages

use:

Technology Consulting

36.21 Moving Products Between Categories

To move a Product:

  1. Open Products.
  2. Locate the Product.
  3. Select Edit.
  4. Change its assigned Category.
  5. Save the Product.
  6. Open both the old and new Categories publicly.
  7. Confirm that the Product appears only where intended.

A Product’s Category is managed through the Product record rather than by dragging the Product between Category lists.

Deleting Categories

36.22 Review Products Before Deletion

Before deleting a Category:

  1. Open the public Category.
  2. Identify all assigned Products.
  3. Decide whether each Product should be moved or deleted.
  4. Edit the Products that must remain.
  5. Assign them to another Category.
  6. Confirm that the old Category is empty.
  7. Delete the Category.

This reduces the risk of leaving Products without a usable public Category.

36.23 Deleting an Unused Category

To delete:

  1. Open Products Categories.
  2. Locate the Category.
  3. Confirm its name.
  4. Select Delete.
  5. Approve the confirmation.
  6. Refresh the list.
  7. Test the public Store.

The system provides a dedicated Category deletion operation.

36.24 Category Deletion and Existing Products

Do not assume that deleting a Category will automatically move its Products elsewhere.

Possible outcomes can depend on the Product relationship and application validation.

Move required Products before deletion.

Do not delete a Category merely to reorganize the Store without first reviewing the Products assigned to it.

36.25 No Visible Category Restore

The customer Category interface does not provide an ordinary restore or recycle-bin operation.

Before deleting, record the Category Name and its assigned Products when the information may be needed later.

Planning Store Products

36.26 Information to Prepare

Before creating a Product, prepare:

Product Name
Product Category
Product Description
Net Price
Selling Price
Total Stock
Available Stock
Product Images
Fulfillment information
Shipping information

Use approved and current information.

36.27 Physical, Digital, and Service-Like Products

A WhatsApp Store Product can represent different types of offerings.

Physical Product

Examples:

Book
Clothing
Accessory
Food item
Beauty product
Equipment

Digital Product

Examples:

Downloadable guide
Digital workbook
Training file
Assessment report

Service-Like Package

Examples:

Consultation package
Training package
Travel package
Business assessment

The Store’s cart and stock fields are most naturally suited to countable items. Review how service-like Products should be represented operationally.

36.28 One Product Record per Distinct Offering

Create a separate Product when the customer-facing offer is materially different.

Example:

30-Minute Consultation
60-Minute Consultation
90-Minute Consultation

Separate Products may be clearer than one Product with unrecorded customer variations.

36.29 Product Variations

The visible Product workflow does not provide a full variation-management system for combinations such as:

Size
Color
Material
Flavor
Style
Custom engraving

Where variations are essential, use clear Product naming or separate Product records.

Example:

AIUNIFY Shirt — Black — Medium
AIUNIFY Shirt — Black — Large
AIUNIFY Shirt — Blue — Medium

This approach increases catalog size, so organize the Products carefully.

36.30 Product Codes and SKUs

The primary visible Product fields do not provide a dedicated SKU-management workflow.

When the business uses inventory codes, maintain them in an approved external inventory system.

A short code can be added to the Product Name or Description only when customers need to see it.

Example:

Professional Workbook — WB-101

Do not expose confidential warehouse or supplier information.

Creating a Product

36.31 Opening Products

To create a Product:

  1. Open WhatsApp Stores.
  2. Edit the correct Store.
  3. Select Products.
  4. Review the existing Product list.
  5. Select the Add or New Product action.

The application includes separate customer views for creating, editing, and showing WhatsApp Store Products.

36.32 Product Creation Fields

The Product editor is designed around information such as:

Product Name
Product Category
Description
Net Price
Selling Price
Total Stock
Available Stock
Product Images

Complete the fields using current and approved Product information.

Product Name

36.33 Entering the Product Name

Use a clear customer-facing name.

Good:

Moneyality Student Assessment

Weak:

Assessment 1

The Product Name may appear in:

  1. Product cards
  2. Product Details
  3. Shopping cart
  4. Order Summary
  5. WhatsApp order information
  6. Dashboard orders
  7. Invoices

36.34 Product Naming Consistency

Use one consistent naming format.

Example:

Moneyality Student Workbook
Moneyality Teacher Guide
Moneyality DNA Assessment
Moneyality Training Package

Avoid inconsistent names such as:

Moneyality Student Workbook
Teacher guide - Moneyality
ASSESSMENT PRODUCT
Training pkg

36.35 Avoid Promotional Claims in the Name

The Product Name should identify the offering.

Place detailed claims in the Description.

Instead of:

The Greatest and Most Powerful Financial Assessment Ever Created

use:

Moneyality DNA Assessment

Unsupported claims can create customer confusion and policy concerns.

Assigning a Category

36.36 Selecting the Product Category

Choose the Category that best matches the Product.

Example:

Product:
Moneyality DNA Assessment

Category:
Assessments

Confirm that the Category belongs to the same Store.

36.37 Product Missing a Category

A Product without an appropriate Category may be difficult for customers to locate.

When a Category is missing:

  1. Save or close the Product form as appropriate.
  2. Open Products Categories.
  3. Create the Category.
  4. Return to Products.
  5. Create or edit the Product.
  6. Assign the Category.

36.38 Do Not Assign by Price Alone

Categories should describe what the Product is, not only its cost.

Weak:

Under $50
Over $100

Better:

Books
Courses
Assessments
Consulting Packages

Price filters can be used where the selected Store template provides them.

Product Description

36.39 Writing the Description

The Description should explain:

  1. What the Product is
  2. Who it is for
  3. What is included
  4. Important specifications
  5. Delivery format
  6. Important limitations
  7. Preparation or usage requirements

Example:

The Moneyality DNA Assessment is an online financial-behavior assessment designed to help participants understand their financial decision patterns. The purchase includes assessment access and a personalized results report.

36.40 Description for Physical Products

Include relevant information such as:

Dimensions
Material
Color
Package contents
Care instructions
Compatibility
Weight
Assembly requirements

Do not claim that an item includes accessories that are sold separately.

36.41 Description for Digital Products

Explain:

  1. File or access format
  2. Delivery method
  3. Access period
  4. Device requirements
  5. Download limitations
  6. Personal-use or commercial-use terms
  7. Refund restrictions where applicable

Do not publish private download links inside the public Description.

36.42 Description for Service Packages

Explain:

  1. Scope
  2. Deliverables
  3. Duration
  4. Number of sessions
  5. Customer responsibilities
  6. Exclusions
  7. Next steps after ordering

A Store Order should not be treated as a scheduled Appointment unless the customer also completes the applicable scheduling process.

36.43 Avoid Sensitive Information

Do not place in the Description:

Passwords
Private API keys
Supplier credentials
Internal costs
Private customer information
Unreleased documents
Payment-provider secrets

The Description is public.

36.44 Proofread the Description

Before saving, review:

  1. Spelling
  2. Grammar
  3. Pricing references
  4. Delivery promises
  5. Product measurements
  6. Dates
  7. Links
  8. Refund language

A Product Description must remain consistent with the Store’s policies.

Net Price and Selling Price

36.45 Understanding Net Price

Net Price can be used as the Product’s base, original, or internal comparison amount according to the Store’s design and business process.

The exact public presentation can vary by template.

Do not assume every customer understands the meaning of Net Price.

36.46 Understanding Selling Price

Selling Price is the amount presented for purchasing the Product.

Example:

Net Price:
100

Selling Price:
80

A Store template may present this as a discounted offer.

Confirm the public display before publishing.

36.47 Entering Prices

Enter numerical values only where the form expects numbers.

Correct:

80

Avoid:

$80
80 USD
Eighty dollars
80 plus shipping

The Store or account configuration controls the currency presentation.

36.48 Selling Price Should Not Exceed the Intended Charge

Review the Selling Price in:

Product card
Product Details
Shopping cart
Order Summary
Dashboard order
Invoice

Correct any discrepancy before accepting public orders.

36.49 Net Price and Discounts

Do not use an inflated Net Price to create a misleading discount.

Example:

Actual normal price:
$50

Misleading Net Price:
$200

Selling Price:
$50

Pricing should reflect actual business practices and applicable requirements.

36.50 No Automatic Promotion Schedule

Do not assume that a lower Selling Price will automatically expire on a specific date.

When a promotion ends:

  1. Open the Product.
  2. Update the Selling Price.
  3. Review the Net Price.
  4. Save.
  5. Remove outdated Store Announcements.
  6. Test the public Store.

36.51 Prices and Existing Orders

Changing a Product’s current price affects future Store presentation.

Existing orders should be handled according to the amount recorded when the customer submitted the order.

Do not silently change a customer’s historical order because the Product price was later edited.

Product Images

36.52 Purpose of Product Images

Images help customers identify and evaluate the Product.

Use images that accurately represent:

  1. Product appearance
  2. Package contents
  3. Product use
  4. Size or scale
  5. Available style
  6. Digital deliverable preview

Do not use an image of a different Product.

36.53 Uploading Images

To add Product images:

  1. Locate the Product Images control.
  2. Select or drag the approved files where supported.
  3. Wait for each upload to complete.
  4. Review the image previews.
  5. Remove incorrect files.
  6. Save the Product.
  7. Open Product Details publicly.

The application provides Product media handling and a separate customer operation for deleting individual Product media.

36.54 Main Product Image

The first or primary image may be used for:

  1. Product cards
  2. Featured Product areas
  3. Search results
  4. Product Details header
  5. Recommended Products
  6. Shopping cart

Upload the strongest and clearest image first where the interface uses upload order.

36.55 Additional Images

Additional images can show:

Front
Back
Side
Packaging
Included items
Product in use
Close-up details
Alternative angles

Avoid uploading several nearly identical images.

36.56 Image Quality

Use images that are:

  1. In focus
  2. Properly lit
  3. Accurately colored
  4. Large enough to view
  5. Properly cropped
  6. Free of unrelated background items
  7. Authorized for commercial use

Avoid files that are extremely large because they can slow the Store.

36.57 Image Aspect Ratios

Templates may crop the same image differently.

Test:

  1. Product card
  2. Product Details page
  3. Mobile layout
  4. Desktop layout
  5. Cart image

Keep important Product content near the center of the image.

36.58 Transparent Product Images

Transparent images can work well for products photographed against plain backgrounds.

Confirm that the Product remains visible against:

  1. White backgrounds
  2. Dark backgrounds
  3. Colored Store templates

36.59 Removing an Individual Image

To remove one image without deleting the Product:

  1. Open Products.
  2. Edit the Product.
  3. Locate the unwanted image.
  4. Select its delete or remove action.
  5. Confirm the removal.
  6. Save the Product where required.
  7. Refresh Product Details.

The customer routes provide a separate Product media deletion operation.

36.60 Replacing an Image

To replace an outdated image:

  1. Upload the new image.
  2. Save the Product.
  3. Confirm that the new image displays.
  4. Remove the old image.
  5. Retest the public page.

Uploading the replacement before deleting the original helps prevent a Product from temporarily having no image.

Total Stock and Available Stock

36.61 Understanding Total Stock

Total Stock records the overall quantity associated with the Product’s inventory setup.

Example:

Total Stock:
100

This may represent the original or currently recorded inventory amount.

Use a quantity the business can support.

36.62 Understanding Available Stock

Available Stock records the quantity currently available for customer ordering.

Example:

Total Stock:
100

Available Stock:
42

Available Stock should reflect what can actually be sold.

36.63 Total Stock Versus Available Stock

The two values may differ because inventory can be:

  1. Already sold
  2. Reserved
  3. Damaged
  4. Returned
  5. Held for another sales channel
  6. Awaiting inspection
  7. Used for demonstrations
  8. Assigned to pending orders

Example:

Total Stock:
50

Reserved for existing orders:
8

Damaged:
2

Available Stock:
40

36.64 Initial Inventory Entry

When entering a newly received Product:

Total Stock:
25

Available Stock:
25

may be appropriate when all units are ready for sale.

When only part of the inventory is available:

Total Stock:
25

Available Stock:
20

can reflect the amount currently offered publicly.

36.65 Available Stock Should Not Exceed Total Stock

Avoid configurations such as:

Total Stock:
20

Available Stock:
35

Review and correct the numbers before saving.

Even when the form accepts the values, the inventory record would be operationally inconsistent.

36.66 Zero Available Stock

When the Product should not be ordered:

Available Stock:
0

The public Store can display an out-of-stock condition or prevent the customer from ordering beyond availability.

Test the selected template after setting the quantity to zero.

36.67 Out-of-Stock Products

When a Product is unavailable, decide whether it should:

  1. Remain visible as out of stock
  2. Be removed from the public catalog
  3. Be replaced by another Product
  4. Display a restock notice
  5. Direct customers to contact the business

The exact visible behavior depends on the Store template and Product workflow.

36.68 Stock Is Not the Same as Order Status

A Product can have Available Stock while a customer order remains:

Pending
Dispatched
Delivered
Cancelled

Inventory management and order-status management are separate responsibilities.

Inventory Adjustments

36.69 Receiving New Inventory

When additional units arrive:

  1. Count the physical inventory.
  2. Review outstanding orders.
  3. Open the Product.
  4. Update Total Stock.
  5. Update Available Stock.
  6. Save.
  7. Test the public Store.
  8. Record the adjustment externally.

Example:

Previous Total Stock:
50

New shipment:
25

New Total Stock:
75

Available Stock depends on current reservations and sales.

36.70 Recording Offline Sales

When Products are sold outside the WhatsApp Store:

  1. Record the offline sale.
  2. Determine the remaining physical stock.
  3. Open the Store Product.
  4. Reduce Available Stock.
  5. Update Total Stock according to the organization’s inventory method.
  6. Save.
  7. Confirm public availability.

The Store cannot automatically know about every cash, telephone, retail, or external-platform sale.

36.71 Damaged or Missing Inventory

When items become unsellable:

  1. Record the reason.
  2. Count usable inventory.
  3. Reduce Available Stock.
  4. Adjust Total Stock according to policy.
  5. Save.
  6. Confirm the Store no longer offers unavailable units.

Do not continue accepting orders for damaged inventory.

36.72 Returned Products

For a returned physical Product:

  1. Confirm that the return was received.
  2. Inspect the Product.
  3. Determine whether it can be resold.
  4. Increase Available Stock only when approved.
  5. Record the inventory adjustment.
  6. Complete any applicable refund process.

A returned Product should not automatically return to available inventory without inspection.

36.73 Cancelled Orders

When an order is cancelled:

  1. Review whether stock was reserved or deducted.
  2. Confirm that the Product was not shipped.
  3. Restore availability where appropriate.
  4. Update the Product record.
  5. Reconcile the physical stock.
  6. Record the cancellation.

Do not assume that changing an order to Cancelled automatically performs every required stock adjustment.

36.74 Pending Orders and Reserved Stock

A Pending order may represent stock that should not be offered to another customer.

Establish a business rule for:

  1. How long stock is reserved
  2. Whether payment is required
  3. When a Pending order expires
  4. When the quantity returns to availability
  5. Who approves the release

The visible Product editor does not provide a separate reserved-stock field.

36.75 Automatic Stock Adjustment

Do not rely on automatic inventory reduction until the complete installed workflow has been tested.

A controlled test should determine whether:

  1. Cart additions affect stock
  2. Order submission affects stock
  3. Payment affects stock
  4. Cancellation restores stock
  5. Deletion restores stock
  6. Multiple quantities are deducted correctly

Maintain external inventory verification until the behavior is confirmed.

Product Quantity and Public Cart Behavior

36.76 Customer Quantity Selection

The WhatsApp Store cart supports Product quantities.

Example:

Product:
Student Workbook

Quantity:
3

The customer should not be able to complete a valid order for more units than the Product’s available quantity.

36.77 Quantity and Line Total

A Product line total is generally based on:

Selling Price × Quantity

Example:

Selling Price:
25

Quantity:
4

Line Total:
100

Test the cart after every major Product price change.

36.78 Quantity Changes

Customers may increase or reduce a Product’s quantity in the cart.

Test that:

  1. The quantity updates.
  2. The line total updates.
  3. The Grand Total updates.
  4. The available-stock warning works.
  5. Removing the Product works.
  6. Another Product can be added.

36.79 Requested Quantity Exceeds Stock

When the requested quantity exceeds availability, the public Store can display an out-of-stock or unavailable-quantity warning.

The customer may need to:

  1. Reduce the quantity.
  2. Remove the Product.
  3. Contact the Store.
  4. Wait for restocking.

Do not increase Available Stock merely to bypass the warning unless the inventory has been verified.

36.80 Cart Stock Can Become Outdated

A customer may add a Product to the cart while another customer completes an order.

The Product may become unavailable before the first customer submits.

The Store should recheck availability during ordering where programmed, but the business should still verify inventory before confirming fulfillment.

Saving a Product

36.81 Product Review Before Save

Confirm:

Correct Store
Correct Product Name
Correct Category
Accurate Description
Accurate Net Price
Accurate Selling Price
Correct Total Stock
Correct Available Stock
Approved Images

Also confirm that the Description and prices agree with the Store policies.

36.82 Saving

Select Save.

After saving:

  1. Confirm the success message.
  2. Confirm that the Product appears in the Products list.
  3. Open its public Category.
  4. Open Product Details.
  5. Add it to the cart.
  6. Confirm its price and stock behavior.

The customer routes include a dedicated Product creation operation.

36.83 Product Does Not Appear

Confirm that:

  1. The Product saved successfully.
  2. The correct Store is open.
  3. The Product has a Category.
  4. The public Store is active.
  5. The correct Category is being viewed.
  6. Filters are not hiding it.
  7. The selected template displays Products.
  8. The public page was refreshed.

Viewing Product Details in the Dashboard

36.84 Product Show View

The Store Product feature includes a dedicated Product show view in addition to create and edit screens.

Use it to review the Product’s saved information before editing or deleting it.

The details can help confirm:

  1. Product identity
  2. Category
  3. Prices
  4. Description
  5. Images
  6. Stock information

36.85 Dashboard View Versus Public View

The dashboard Product details are intended for management.

The public Product Details page shows the customer-facing presentation.

Always review both.

A field may be saved correctly but display differently because of:

  1. Template layout
  2. Image cropping
  3. Long text
  4. Font selection
  5. Currency formatting
  6. Mobile screen size

Editing Products

36.86 Opening Product Edit

To edit:

  1. Open the Store.
  2. Select Products.
  3. Locate the Product.
  4. Select Edit.
  5. Make the required changes.
  6. Select Save or Update.
  7. Test the public Product.

The customer routes provide a Product edit destination and Product update operation.

36.87 Editing the Product Name

Changing the Product Name affects future public presentation.

Review:

  1. Product card
  2. Product Details
  3. Cart
  4. New orders
  5. Search behavior
  6. External marketing links

Existing order records should remain interpreted according to the information saved with the order.

36.88 Editing the Description

After changing the Description:

  1. Check desktop presentation.
  2. Check mobile presentation.
  3. Confirm that old pricing references were removed.
  4. Confirm that delivery terms remain accurate.
  5. Confirm that policy links are still appropriate.

36.89 Editing Prices

After a price change:

  1. Save.
  2. Open the public Product.
  3. Add it to a new cart.
  4. Confirm the line total.
  5. Confirm the Grand Total.
  6. Submit a controlled test where necessary.
  7. Review Store Announcements for outdated promotions.

Do not use an old browser cart to confirm a new price without refreshing or recreating the cart.

36.90 Editing Inventory

Before changing inventory:

  1. Count physical stock.
  2. Review Pending orders.
  3. Review Dispatched orders.
  4. Review cancelled orders.
  5. Review offline sales.
  6. Determine the true available quantity.
  7. Update and save.

Do not estimate inventory merely from the number of public orders.

36.91 Editing Product Images

When replacing images:

  1. Upload the new image.
  2. Save.
  3. Review it publicly.
  4. Remove outdated images.
  5. Test the primary image.

Do not remove all images unless the Store is intentionally designed to show Products without images.

Deleting Products

36.92 When Product Deletion Is Appropriate

Delete a Product when it:

  1. Was created accidentally
  2. Is a duplicate
  3. Will never be sold again
  4. Belongs to the wrong Store and should not remain
  5. Contains information that should not be public
  6. Has been replaced permanently

Consider leaving it unavailable or setting stock to zero when the Product may return.

36.93 Review Orders Before Deletion

Before deleting:

  1. Open WhatsApp Product Orders.
  2. Search for active orders containing the Product.
  3. Review Pending orders.
  4. Review payment and fulfillment.
  5. Complete or cancel outstanding activity.
  6. Preserve required records.
  7. Then consider deletion.

Deleting a Product while active orders remain can make fulfillment and historical review more difficult.

36.94 Deleting a Product

To delete:

  1. Open Products.
  2. Locate the Product.
  3. Confirm the Product Name.
  4. Select Delete.
  5. Read the confirmation.
  6. Approve deletion.
  7. Refresh the Product list.
  8. Test the public Store.

The system provides a dedicated WhatsApp Store Product deletion operation.

36.95 No Visible Product Restore

The customer Product interface does not provide an ordinary restore action.

Before deleting, retain authorized information when the Product may need to be recreated:

Product Name
Category
Description
Prices
Stock
Images

36.96 Product Deletion Does Not Remove External Records

Deleting a Product does not automatically remove:

  1. Customer WhatsApp conversations
  2. Previously generated invoices
  3. Accounting records
  4. Downloaded images
  5. Social-media posts
  6. Printed advertisements
  7. External inventory records

Update those systems separately.

Product Search, Filtering, and Categories

36.97 Public Category Filtering

Public Store templates contain routes that open Products filtered by a selected Category, as well as routes that display the broader Product collection.

This means Category assignment directly affects public browsing.

36.98 Testing Category Links

For every Category:

  1. Open the public Store.
  2. Select the Category.
  3. Confirm that the correct Products appear.
  4. Confirm that unrelated Products do not appear.
  5. Open each Product.
  6. Return to the Category.
  7. Test on mobile.

36.99 All Products View

The Store templates also provide an all-Products destination.

Review it to confirm:

  1. Every intended Product is visible.
  2. Duplicate Products do not appear.
  3. Product images are consistent.
  4. Prices are readable.
  5. Out-of-stock Products are handled clearly.
  6. Search and sorting work where displayed.

36.100 Search

Where the template provides Product search, test:

  1. Full Product Name
  2. Partial Product Name
  3. Category-related term
  4. Uppercase and lowercase entry
  5. No-result search
  6. Clearing the search

Do not depend on hidden internal codes that customers do not know.

36.101 Price Filtering and Sorting

Some Store templates can provide:

Price filters
Low-to-high sorting
High-to-low sorting

Test these functions after changing Net or Selling Prices.

Sorting should be evaluated using the public Selling Price presented to customers.

Recommended and Featured Products

36.102 Product Recommendations

Some templates may display related, recommended, recent, or featured Product areas.

Review whether the displayed Products are appropriate.

A recommendation may be influenced by:

  1. Category
  2. Store template
  3. Product availability
  4. Product selection logic

Do not assume that the Store owner can manually arrange every recommendation unless a visible control is provided.

36.103 Out-of-Stock Recommendations

Check that Products shown in promotional or recommended areas are still available.

A Product may remain visually present even when Available Stock reaches zero.

Review Store presentation regularly during active campaigns.

Inventory Operations

36.104 Daily Inventory Review

During active selling periods:

  1. Review new orders.
  2. Review Product quantities.
  3. Verify physical stock.
  4. Update Available Stock.
  5. Identify low-stock Products.
  6. Review cancelled orders.
  7. Correct discrepancies.
  8. Confirm public availability.

36.105 Low-Stock Threshold

The visible Product workflow does not provide a separate low-stock threshold or automatic low-stock alert field.

Maintain an external rule.

Example:

Product:
Student Workbook

Low-stock threshold:
10 units

Current Available Stock:
8 units

Action:
Reorder inventory

36.106 Inventory Reconciliation

Regularly compare:

Physical Inventory
Store Total Stock
Store Available Stock
Pending Order Quantities
Dispatched Order Quantities
Offline Sales
Returns
Damaged Products

Investigate differences promptly.

36.107 Example Reconciliation

Total physical units:
100

Delivered or sold:
45

Reserved for Pending orders:
10

Damaged:
5

Available:
40

The Store should not display more than the 40 units available for new orders.

36.108 Multi-Channel Inventory

When the same Product is sold through:

  1. WhatsApp Store
  2. Physical location
  3. Telephone orders
  4. VCard Products
  5. Another website
  6. Marketplace
  7. Social media

all sales channels can affect the same physical inventory.

Update the Store whenever another channel reduces availability.

36.109 Inventory Ownership

Assign one person or team to approve stock changes.

Without clear responsibility, staff may:

  1. Enter conflicting quantities
  2. Restore cancelled stock twice
  3. Forget offline sales
  4. Fulfill duplicate orders
  5. Oversell the Product

36.110 Inventory Change Log

Maintain an external inventory log containing:

Date
Product
Previous quantity
New quantity
Adjustment reason
Order reference
Employee

Example:

July 24
Student Workbook
Previous Available Stock: 40
New Available Stock: 35
Reason: Offline sale of 5
Updated by: Store Manager

Duplicated and Similar Products

36.115 Duplicate Product Risk

Duplicate Products can occur when:

  1. Save is selected repeatedly
  2. Staff create the same item
  3. Similar Products use unclear names
  4. A Product is recreated instead of edited
  5. Several Stores are confused

Review the Product list before creating a new record.

36.116 Handling Duplicates

  1. Compare Product Names.
  2. Compare Categories.
  3. Compare descriptions.
  4. Compare prices.
  5. Compare images.
  6. Review active orders.
  7. Identify the correct Product.
  8. Delete only the unnecessary duplicate.

Do not delete the Product referenced by an active order without reviewing its impact.

36.117 Similar Products

Differentiate similar Products clearly.

Example:

Student Workbook — Printed
Student Workbook — Digital PDF
Student Workbook — Classroom Pack of 25

Do not use three records all named:

Student Workbook

  8. Included items
  9. Results or performance claims

36.123 Regulated or Restricted Products

Before listing a restricted Product, review:

  1. Age requirements
  2. Licensing

  4. Payment-provider restrictions
  5. Geographic limitations
  6. Required warnings
  7. Applicable laws

Do not rely on the Product editor to perform every compliance check.

36.124 Customer Information in Descriptions or Images
