15.1 Overview

The SEO section allows the card owner to define information that helps identify the digital card to browsers, search platforms, and analytics services.

The programmed SEO screen contains five fields:

Site Title
Home Title
Meta Keyword
Meta Description
Google Analytics

The first four fields are standard text fields. Google Analytics uses a larger text area for entering tracking information or code. The page also provides Save and Discard controls.

SEO settings do not replace the information displayed in Basic Details. Instead, they provide additional page-identification and tracking information for the public VCard.

15.2 Understanding SEO

SEO means Search Engine Optimization.

SEO is the process of making a public web page easier for search platforms and visitors to understand.

For a digital card, SEO information can help communicate:

  1. The cardholder’s name
  2. The business or organization
  3. The profession or industry
  4. The primary services
  5. The geographic service area
  6. The purpose of the card
  7. The page’s main subject

SEO settings do not guarantee that the VCard will appear in search results or receive a particular ranking. Search visibility can also depend on whether the card is active, publicly accessible, linked from other websites, and available for search systems to discover.

15.3 Opening the SEO Section

From the dashboard:

  1. Select VCards.
  2. Locate the digital card you want to optimize.
  3. Select the card name or the Edit icon.
  4. Select SEO from the VCard editor menu.

On a phone or smaller screen, select the menu icon inside the editor to display the available VCard sections.

The SEO screen opens with any previously saved values displayed in their corresponding fields.

Site Title

15.4 Understanding the Site Title

The Site Title identifies the public VCard page.

It should clearly communicate who or what the card represents.

A useful Site Title normally includes one or more of the following:

  1. Person’s name
  2. Business name
  3. Professional title
  4. Primary service
  5. Location when relevant

Examples:

Tonya Collins | Moneyality Financial Education

AIUNIFY Technology | Business AI Solutions

James Carter | Detroit Real Estate Consultant

FinCredit | Financial Literacy for Students

The Site Title field is stored independently from the VCard Name entered in Basic Details. This allows the page title to be written specifically for browser and search presentation. The SEO interface provides a dedicated Site Title field for this purpose.

15.5 Writing a Strong Site Title

A strong Site Title should be:

  1. Specific
  2. Easy to read
  3. Relevant to the card
  4. Consistent with the public content
  5. Distinct from unrelated VCards
  6. Written for people rather than only search systems

A practical structure is:

Name or Business | Primary Service

Example:

Esquire & Associates | Small Business Consulting

Another structure is:

Name | Profession | Location

Example:

Angela Brooks | Event Photographer | Detroit

Use the location only when it is important to the cardholder’s service area.

15.6 Avoiding Overly Long Site Titles

Do not attempt to place every service inside the Site Title.

Too long:

John Smith Business Consulting Marketing Technology Website Design
Financial Training Lead Generation Customer Support Detroit Michigan

Better:

John Smith | Business Technology Consultant

Detailed services can be explained in the VCard Description, Services section, Meta Description, Products, and Blogs.

15.7 Avoiding Repeated Keywords

Do not repeat the same term unnecessarily.

Poor example:

Detroit Consultant | Detroit Business Consultant |
Best Detroit Consultant | Detroit Consulting

Better:

Morgan Lee | Detroit Business Consultant

Repeated wording can make the title appear unnatural and unprofessional.

15.8 Using the Business Name Consistently

The business name in the Site Title should match the name used throughout the card.

For example, when the card uses:

AIUNIFY Technology

do not use unrelated variations such as:

AI Unify Tech Systems Company

unless that is an approved business name.

Consistency helps visitors recognize that the search listing, VCard, website, social accounts, and business materials belong to the same organization.

Home Title

15.9 Understanding the Home Title

The Home Title provides a secondary title associated with the VCard’s home presentation.

Its exact public placement can vary according to the selected template. It should therefore be reviewed through the live public card after saving.

The Home Title may be used to reinforce:

  1. The cardholder’s primary role
  2. A company message
  3. A service category
  4. A short value statement
  5. A professional identity

The SEO screen stores Home Title separately from Site Title.

15.10 Site Title Versus Home Title

The two fields should work together without being identical unless identical wording is intentional.

Example:

Site Title:
AIUNIFY Technology | Business AI Solutions

Home Title:
Unified Technology for Small Business Growth

Another example:

Site Title:
Tonya Collins | Moneyality Financial Education

Home Title:
Discover Your Moneyality DNA

The Site Title identifies the page. The Home Title can communicate the card’s main message or visitor-facing theme.

15.11 Writing a Home Title

A Home Title should be shorter than a full company description.

Strong examples:

Building Smarter Small Businesses

Financial Education That Changes Behavior

Professional Real Estate Guidance

Reliable EV Charging Solutions

Turn Your Expertise Into Growth

Avoid writing a complete paragraph inside the Home Title field.

15.12 Matching the Home Title to the Card

The Home Title should agree with the content displayed elsewhere on the VCard.

For example, a card focused on financial education should not use:

Premium Residential Real Estate Services

The title should match the card’s:

  1. Description
  2. Occupation
  3. Job title
  4. Services
  5. Products
  6. Blogs
  7. Contact information
  8. Branding

15.13 Reviewing Template Placement

Because templates can arrange VCard information differently:

  1. Enter the Home Title.
  2. Select Save.
  3. Open the public VCard.
  4. Look for the Home Title.
  5. Confirm that it fits the available space.
  6. Review it on a mobile phone.
  7. Shorten it when the wording appears crowded.

Do not assume that wording which fits one template will display identically in another template.

Meta Keywords

15.14 Understanding Meta Keywords

The Meta Keyword field stores words and phrases associated with the subject of the VCard.

The field may contain terms related to:

  1. Person
  2. Business
  3. Industry
  4. Services
  5. Products
  6. Location
  7. Specialty
  8. Audience

The SEO form provides one text field for Meta Keyword information.

15.15 Entering Meta Keywords

Separate keyword phrases with commas.

Example:

small business consulting, business technology, AI solutions,
marketing automation, Detroit business services

Another example:

financial literacy, student financial education, teacher training,
money behavior assessment, personal finance curriculum

Use phrases that accurately describe the public VCard.

15.16 Selecting Relevant Keywords

Begin with the words a visitor might use when searching for the person, organization, or service.

A useful keyword group may include:

Business name
Person’s name
Primary profession
Main service
Industry
City or region
Specialty

Example:

Xnergy Solutions, EV charging, mobile EV charging,
commercial charging stations, Detroit electric vehicle services

15.17 Avoiding Keyword Stuffing

Do not fill the field with large numbers of repeated or unrelated terms.

Poor example:

business, business, best business, cheap business, free business,
marketing, software, lawyer, doctor, real estate, restaurant

Better:

small business technology, CRM implementation,
marketing automation, business consulting

Every keyword should be supported by the actual VCard content.

15.18 Do Not Use Competitor Names Improperly

Do not place unrelated competitor or trademark names into the Meta Keyword field merely to attract searches.

The keywords should represent the cardholder’s own identity, products, services, or legitimate business relationships.

15.19 Geographic Keywords

Use geographic terms when the person or business serves a specific area.

Examples:

Detroit business consultant
Michigan financial literacy program
Atlanta event photographer
Chicago commercial real estate

Do not add many unrelated cities when the business does not serve those locations.

15.20 Meta Keywords Are Not a Substitute for Content

Keyword phrases should also be reflected naturally in the VCard’s visible content.

For example, when the Meta Keyword field includes:

financial literacy training

the card should contain visible information explaining its financial literacy training services.

A keyword that never appears anywhere in the public content may not accurately represent the page.

Meta Description

15.21 Understanding the Meta Description

The Meta Description provides a concise summary of the VCard.

It should explain:

  1. Who the card represents
  2. What the person or organization provides
  3. Who the services are for
  4. What makes the offering relevant

The SEO interface provides a dedicated Meta Description text field.

15.22 Writing an Effective Meta Description

Write one or two natural sentences.

Example:

AIUNIFY Technology provides unified AI, marketing, customer engagement, and business management solutions for small and growing businesses.

Another example:

Tonya Collins delivers behavioral financial education, Moneyality DNA assessments, student training, and educator support.

Another example:

Explore residential and commercial real estate services, property listings, consultations, and local market guidance in Detroit.

15.23 Recommended Description Length

The interface does not display an enforced character counter for Meta Description.

As a practical writing guideline, aim for approximately 140 to 160 characters when possible. Search platforms may display more or less text depending on the device, query, and page.

The description should remain understandable even when part of it is shortened.

15.24 Include the Primary Subject Early

Place the most important information near the beginning.

Less effective:

Welcome to our page where you can learn more about everything that we have been doing for customers throughout the years.

Stronger:

Xnergy Solutions provides fixed and mobile EV charging systems for businesses, properties, fleets, and electric-vehicle drivers.

The stronger version immediately explains the organization and its services.

15.25 Include a Useful Benefit

The description should communicate why a visitor should open the VCard.

Example:

Get expert small-business technology guidance, compare AIUNIFY solutions, and schedule a consultation for your organization.

The wording explains the service and provides a reason to visit.

15.26 Avoid Unsupported Claims

Do not use claims that cannot be supported.

Examples to avoid unless verified:

Guaranteed number-one results
The cheapest service in America
Instant approval for everyone
Guaranteed investment returns
Best provider in the world

Use factual, accurate language that reflects the actual offering.

15.27 Avoid Duplicating the Site Title

The Meta Description should expand on the Site Title rather than repeat it word for word.

Example:

Site Title:
FinCredit | Financial Literacy for Students

Meta Description:
Interactive financial literacy education for grades 7–12,
including assessments, applied lessons, student monitoring,
and educator resources.

Google Analytics

15.28 Understanding Google Analytics

The Google Analytics field allows tracking information or code to be associated with the public VCard.

Google Analytics can help an organization evaluate activity such as:

  1. Visits to the VCard
  2. Visitor locations
  3. Device types
  4. Traffic sources
  5. Returning visitors
  6. Page engagement
  7. Campaign activity

The field appears as a large text area rather than a standard single-line field, allowing a longer tracking value or code block to be stored.

15.29 Obtaining the Analytics Information

Use the tracking information supplied for the organization’s Google Analytics web property.

The organization should:

  1. Sign in to the authorized Google Analytics account.
  2. Select or create the appropriate property.
  3. Select the correct web data stream.
  4. Obtain the measurement or installation information.
  5. Copy the required value or code exactly.
  6. Paste it into the VCard’s Google Analytics field.
  7. Select Save.

Do not use tracking information belonging to an unrelated business or client.

15.30 Using the Correct Analytics Property

Each VCard should report to the intended Analytics property.

For example:

Company VCard → Company Analytics property
Moneyality VCard → Moneyality Analytics property
FinCredit VCard → FinCredit Analytics property

Using the wrong property can mix unrelated visitor data and make reports difficult to interpret.

15.31 Do Not Modify Tracking Code Unnecessarily

When a complete tracking code is supplied, paste it exactly as provided unless the organization’s technical administrator has instructed otherwise.

Do not randomly remove:

  1. Quotation marks
  2. Script references
  3. Measurement identifiers
  4. Opening or closing characters
  5. Configuration lines

An incomplete tracking entry may fail to record visits.

15.32 Do Not Enter Account Credentials

Never place any of the following in the Google Analytics field:

Google account password
Administrative username
Recovery code
API secret
Private key
Payment information
Personal login credentials

The field is for tracking configuration, not account access information.

15.33 One Analytics Configuration per VCard

The SEO screen provides one Google Analytics field for the selected VCard.

When several VCards should report to the same Analytics property, enter the appropriate tracking configuration on each card.

When separate reporting is required, use separate properties or data streams according to the organization’s analytics structure.

15.34 Testing Google Analytics

After saving the tracking information:

  1. Open the public VCard in another browser or device.
  2. Navigate through the card.
  3. Open Google Analytics.
  4. Review the real-time or recent visitor report.
  5. Confirm that the visit is being recorded.
  6. Repeat the test from a private browser window when necessary.

Analytics data may not always appear immediately in every report.

15.35 Analytics and the Built-In VCard Dashboard

Google Analytics is separate from the VCard’s built-in Analytics section.

Built-In VCard Analytics

Accessed from the VCards management page and designed to show activity recorded by the platform.

Google Analytics

Uses the tracking configuration entered in the SEO section and reports through the organization’s Google Analytics account.

The two reporting systems may calculate activity differently because they can use different methods, time zones, filters, and visitor rules.

15.36 Consent and Privacy Responsibilities

Analytics tools may collect information about how visitors use the public card.

Before enabling tracking, the organization should make sure that:

  1. Its Privacy Policy explains the use of analytics where appropriate.
  2. Its consent practices match applicable requirements.
  3. The tracking configuration belongs to the correct organization.
  4. Access to analytics reports is limited to authorized users.
  5. Collected information is used responsibly.

The next chapter explains how to create and publish the VCard Privacy Policy.

URL and Favicon Considerations

15.37 SEO and the URL Alias

The public URL is configured in Basic Details 1, not in the SEO section.

The URL Alias forms part of the public VCard address and should be:

  1. Clear
  2. Short
  3. Relevant
  4. Easy to type
  5. Consistent with the cardholder’s name or business

The VCard editor provides the URL Alias field and a generator button in Basic Details 1.

Example:

book.poweredbyaiunify.com/tonya-collins

Less effective:

book.poweredbyaiunify.com/card9382746abc

Avoid changing an established URL unnecessarily because older links and downloaded QR codes may continue pointing to the previous address.

15.38 SEO and the Favicon

The favicon is the small icon associated with the page in supported browser locations.

It is uploaded in Basic Details 1, not in the SEO screen.

The VCard editor provides a favicon upload configured for a maximum dimension of 16 by 16 pixels.

Use a favicon that:

  1. Matches the business identity
  2. Remains recognizable at a small size
  3. Has a simple shape
  4. Uses strong contrast
  5. Does not contain excessive text

The favicon and Site Title work together to identify the page in the browser.

Saving SEO Settings

15.39 Saving the SEO Configuration

After completing the fields, select Save.

The system stores:

Site Title
Home Title
Meta Keyword
Meta Description
Google Analytics

Wait for the success confirmation before leaving the editor.

The SEO page’s Save button submits the settings through the standard VCard editing form.

15.40 Using Discard

Select Discard to leave the SEO section without saving the current changes.

Discard returns the user to the VCards page.

It does not:

  1. Delete the VCard
  2. Remove previously saved SEO information
  3. Change the URL Alias
  4. Deactivate the card
  5. Delete Analytics reports
  6. Remove the favicon

Unsaved changes entered during the current session will not be applied.

Reviewing SEO Settings

15.41 Previewing the Public Card

After saving:

  1. Return to VCards.
  2. Open the card’s preview or public URL.
  3. Review the browser tab.
  4. Review the visible home area.
  5. Confirm that the Home Title appears appropriately where supported.
  6. Confirm that the public content agrees with the SEO wording.
  7. Review the card on desktop and mobile devices.

The SEO screen does not provide its own search-result preview, so the public card should be inspected directly.

15.42 Reviewing the Page Source

A technical administrator can inspect the public page’s source or browser developer tools to confirm that saved metadata and analytics information are present.

This can help verify:

  1. Page title information
  2. Description metadata
  3. Keyword metadata
  4. Analytics tracking code
  5. Favicon reference

Ordinary card users do not need to modify page-source code manually.

15.43 Testing the Browser Title

Open the public VCard and review the browser tab.

Confirm that:

  1. The wording is recognizable.
  2. The title is not unnecessarily long.
  3. The business or person’s name is correct.
  4. No old brand name remains.
  5. The title does not contain spelling errors.

Some browsers display only part of a long title, which is another reason to keep it focused.

15.44 Reviewing Shared Links

Send the public VCard URL through a controlled test message.

Review how the address appears when shared through:

  1. Email
  2. Text message
  3. WhatsApp
  4. LinkedIn
  5. Other supported communication platforms

The exact link preview can depend on the receiving platform and may not use every SEO field.

The SEO screen does not contain separate social-sharing image or Open Graph controls, so the card’s available images and template may influence the shared presentation.

15.45 Search-Indexing Time

Saving SEO information does not cause immediate search-engine placement.

Search platforms must first discover, access, and process the page.

Changes to titles and descriptions may also take time to appear. A search platform may choose to display different text based on the visitor’s search and its interpretation of the page.

Do not repeatedly change the SEO fields solely because the new wording did not appear immediately.

Maintaining SEO Information

15.51 Reviewing SEO After Major Changes

Update the SEO section when:

  1. The business changes its name.
  2. The cardholder changes occupations.
  3. A new primary service is introduced.
  4. The organization enters a new market.
  5. The service location changes.
  6. The card is duplicated for another person.
  7. The VCard is repurposed for an event.
  8. The public URL changes.
  9. The brand message changes.
  10. Google Analytics tracking is replaced.

15.52 Reviewing Duplicated VCards

When a VCard is duplicated, review every SEO field before publishing the duplicate.

Copied fields may still contain:

  1. Original person’s name
  2. Original company
  3. Original location
  4. Original service description
  5. Original Analytics configuration
  6. Original keywords

A duplicated VCard should not continue reporting to an inappropriate Analytics property or display another cardholder’s SEO information.

15.53 Reviewing SEO Periodically

Review the SEO section periodically to confirm that:

  1. Titles remain current.
  2. Services are accurately represented.
  3. Keywords match visible content.
  4. The Meta Description is still accurate.
  5. Analytics tracking still works.
  6. No discontinued offer is mentioned.
  7. No former employee is identified.
  8. The public URL remains correct.

SEO information should change when the VCard’s purpose materially changes, not merely for frequent minor wording experiments.

Troubleshooting SEO

15.54 The Site Title Does Not Appear as Expected

Confirm that:

  1. The Site Title was saved.
  2. The public card was refreshed.
  3. The browser is not displaying cached information.
  4. The correct VCard was edited.
  5. The browser tab has enough space to display the title.
  6. The selected template or public-page structure supports the saved title as expected.

Open the card in a private browser window for another test.

15.55 The Home Title Is Missing

Confirm that:

  1. The Home Title field contains text.
  2. The SEO form was saved.
  3. The correct VCard was edited.
  4. The public card was refreshed.
  5. The selected template presents the Home Title visibly.

Because template layouts differ, review another suitable template when the Home Title is important to the card’s public design.

15.56 Search Results Show Different Text

Search platforms may rewrite titles or descriptions based on the visitor’s search, the visible page content, or previously indexed information.

Confirm that the saved SEO information is accurate, then allow time for the page to be processed again.

Also ensure that the public card’s visible content supports the Site Title and Meta Description.

15.57 Meta Keywords Do Not Improve Visibility

Review whether the keywords:

  1. Match the visible card content
  2. Describe real services
  3. Include appropriate location terms
  4. Avoid repetition
  5. Avoid unrelated topics

Keywords alone do not replace useful public content, relevant services, descriptive text, or legitimate links to the VCard.

15.58 Google Analytics Does Not Record Visits

Confirm that:

  1. The correct tracking information was entered.
  2. The complete value or code was pasted.
  3. The SEO form was saved.
  4. The VCard is active.
  5. The public VCard was opened after saving.
  6. The correct Analytics property is being reviewed.
  7. The report’s date and time range are correct.
  8. A browser extension or privacy control is not blocking tracking.
  9. Consent settings are not preventing analytics from loading.
  10. The test was performed from a separate browser or device.

A technical administrator should inspect the public page when tracking still does not work.

15.59 Analytics Shows Fewer Visits Than Expected

Analytics counts may differ from built-in VCard statistics because of:

  1. Visitor privacy settings
  2. Tracking blockers
  3. Consent choices
  4. Duplicate-visit filtering
  5. Time-zone differences
  6. Bot filtering
  7. Delayed reporting
  8. Different counting methods

Compare trends rather than expecting every reporting system to display identical totals.

15.60 Changes Were Lost

Confirm that Save was selected rather than Discard.

Wait for the success confirmation before leaving the SEO section.

Reopen SEO and verify that the values remain in their fields.

15.61 SEO Checklist

Before completing the SEO section, confirm that:

  1. The Site Title clearly identifies the card.
  2. The Home Title communicates the main message.
  3. Keyword phrases are relevant and separated clearly.
  4. Repeated and unrelated keywords were removed.
  5. The Meta Description accurately summarizes the card.
  6. The Meta Description includes the primary service or purpose.
  7. Business names and locations are correct.
  8. Google Analytics uses the correct configuration.
  9. No credentials or private information were entered.
  10. The organization’s privacy disclosures address analytics where appropriate.
  11. The settings were saved.
  12. The public card was reviewed on desktop and mobile.
  13. Analytics tracking was tested.
  14. Duplicated VCards do not contain another cardholder’s SEO information.

Chapter Completion

At the end of this chapter, the user should understand how to configure the Site Title, Home Title, Meta Keywords, Meta Description, and Google Analytics information; review the public results; maintain accurate metadata; and troubleshoot common SEO and tracking problems.
