Monthly Summary

When the Publishing Calendar is switched to Month view, the calendar sidebar replaces the weekly Content Overview with Monthly Summary.

Monthly Total Posts

The Monthly Summary displays Total Posts for the selected month based on the calendar data available to the user.

Comparison with the Previous Month

The summary can calculate a percentage change and display the comparison against the previous month. This makes it easier to see whether publishing volume increased or decreased.

Engagement Rate

The Monthly Summary also displays an Engagement Rate value together with an engagement change percentage where the underlying social performance data supports those calculations.

Daily Publishing Pattern

A compact monthly chart uses daily post counts to show how publishing activity is distributed throughout the month.

Using Monthly Summary

Use the monthly information to answer questions such as:

  • How many posts are represented this month?
  • Is publishing volume higher or lower than the previous month?
  • What engagement rate is currently represented?
  • Which parts of the month contain more publishing activity?

Calendar Post Deletion

The Publishing Calendar also contains a normal user deletion workflow for social post records.

When deletion is requested, the confirmation can display Delete Social Post with the message:

Are you sure you want to delete this social post from your calendar history? This will attempt to delete it from the backend.

Deleting a Calendar Post

  1. Locate the social post using the calendar workflow.
  2. Use the available Delete Post action.
  3. Review the confirmation.
  4. Confirm only when you intend to remove the record.

Successful Deletion

When the request succeeds, the calendar can display Post deleted successfully. The calendar data is then refreshed so the deleted record no longer appears in the same history view.

If Deletion Fails

The interface can display Failed to delete post or another backend message. Refresh the calendar and verify whether the record still exists before retrying.

Delete Carefully

If the post merely needs changes, do not delete it just to edit the content. Scheduled posts can be reopened in the Social Composer. Use deletion only when the record should actually be removed.

Monthly Summary Is Read-Only

The Total Posts, comparison percentages, Engagement Rate, and daily-count chart are reporting information. Reviewing these figures does not alter social content or any connected account.
