Month and Week Views

The Publishing Calendar provides two main date layouts: Month and Week. Use the view that best matches the type of planning you are doing.

Week View

Week is the default calendar view. When selected, the page becomes the Weekly Planner and displays seven consecutive days beginning with Monday for the selected week.

The displayed date range identifies the first and last day of that week so you can confirm which seven-day period you are reviewing.

Month View

Select Month to open the Publishing Calendar monthly grid. The displayed date label changes from a weekly range to the selected month and year.

Switch Views

  1. Open the Publishing Calendar.
  2. Locate the Month / Week control.
  3. Select Month for the monthly grid.
  4. Select Week for the Weekly Planner.

Previous Period

Use the left navigation arrow to move backward. The amount of movement depends on the active view:

  • In Week view, Previous moves back seven days.
  • In Month view, Previous moves to the prior month.

Next Period

Use the right navigation arrow to move forward:

  • In Week view, Next moves forward seven days.
  • In Month view, Next moves to the following month.

Today

Select Today at any time to return the calendar's selected date to the current day. The active Week or Month view remains in use while the calendar repositions itself around today's date.

Current-Day Highlighting

Both calendar layouts visually distinguish the current day. The Weekly Planner highlights today's day heading, while the monthly grid gives today's date a separate current-day treatment.

Using Navigation During Campaign Planning

For short campaigns, Week view makes it easier to inspect the immediate publishing sequence. Month view is better for examining distribution across a larger campaign calendar.

Filters Remain Important

Changing dates or views does not replace content filters. If records appear to be missing, review the currently selected platform, content-type, publishing-status, and search filters.
