When Story is selected as a publishing format, the Social Composer displays a dedicated Story Customization section.
The Text Overlay field allows you to add text directly to the Story presentation. The field can display the prompt:
Type text to overlay on your story...
An emoji picker is also available so emojis can be inserted into the Story text.
The Story Background control lets you choose from the available background styles. This is especially useful when creating a Story that relies heavily on text or when you want to control the visual background used during Story processing.
Use Text Color to select the color used for the Story overlay text. The Composer shows available color choices and indicates the currently selected value.
The Story text can use a background treatment behind the words. Source-defined options include:
The Size control provides three source-defined sizes:
Choose the size that best fits the amount of text and the media being used.
The Position control allows Story text to be placed in several locations:
The backend supports Story processing when Story text is present even if no normal media attachment was selected. The Story background, text settings, and optional audio can be used to create the processed Story asset.
Use Channel Preview to review the Story overlay, position, colors, background, media, and selected music before publishing.
Instagram and Facebook Stories are designed around vertical presentation. The source validation recommends a 9:16 aspect ratio for these Story formats.
