The Social Composer includes a dedicated Caption section. The interface describes this area as the place to add your text, emojis, hashtags, and mentions.
Select the caption field and enter the text that should accompany the social post. The placeholder can appear as What's on your mind? or as guidance to add the main caption, call-to-action, and hashtags.
The Composer includes an emoji control. Selecting an emoji adds it directly to the current caption at the appropriate point in your text.
Add hashtags directly in the caption using the normal hashtag format. Keep the number and style of hashtags appropriate for the selected platform and your publishing strategy.
You can type mention-style text into the caption. Whether a provider turns that text into an active mention depends on the social network and the publishing API available for that platform.
Different platforms have different caption-length limits. The source defines limits such as 280 characters for X / Twitter, 2,000 for Instagram, 3,000 for LinkedIn, 5,000 for YouTube, and 500 for Threads. Facebook supports a substantially larger text limit.
A post must contain usable content. AIUNIFY Social Media can accept a caption, media, or an appropriate combination depending on the selected platform and content type. If neither caption nor media has been added, the Composer can display Please add a caption or media to your post.
Always review the Channel Preview after writing the caption, especially when publishing to multiple networks with different character limits and presentation styles.
