Publish and the Social Composer

The Publish navigation item opens the Social Composer. The page is identified in the interface as Add New Post and is designed to create, customize, and schedule posts across connected social media accounts.

Primary Composer Areas

The Social Composer organizes publishing into several user-facing areas:

• Choose Channels
• Caption
• Get Caption
• Media Attachments
• Posting Schedule
• Channel Preview
• Save Draft
• Publish Now or Schedule Post

Basic Publishing Sequence

1. Select one or more connected channels.
2. Choose the appropriate content type for the selected platforms.
3. Write or insert the caption.
4. Add media when required or desired.
5. Review the Channel Preview.
6. Choose immediate publishing, scheduled publishing, or Save Draft.
7. Submit the post.

Composer Validation

The Composer requires at least one selected social account before a post can be submitted. The application can display Please select at least one account when no channel has been selected.

The post also needs usable content. When neither caption content nor media is present, the application can display Please add a caption or media to your post.

Publishing Results

When submission begins successfully, the interface can display Publishing has started!. A failure during submission can display Failed to publish content.

Drafts

If you are not ready to publish, choose the draft option and select Save Draft. A successful save can display Draft saved successfully!.

Publish Calendar Shortcut

The Composer header also contains access to the Publish Calendar, allowing you to move from content creation into a date-oriented view of scheduled and published content.
