Refreshing Channel Data

Studios provides a user-facing connection validation workflow that can refresh channel data and confirm whether the current social authorization token remains valid.

Refresh an Individual Channel

When you refresh or validate a channel, AIUNIFY Social Media sends a validation request for that specific connected account.

If the token is valid, the interface can display Channel data refreshed successfully and refresh the available channel statistics.

Token Validation Failure

If the social authorization is no longer valid, the application can display Token validation failed or another provider response explaining why validation did not succeed.

A validation failure can indicate that the social session expired, authorization was revoked, the provider requires reauthentication, or another connection issue occurred.

Reconnect After Validation Failure

If the channel is no longer authorized, use the normal Reconnect or reauthorization action. The application uses the existing channel identity while restarting the appropriate provider connection flow.

Reconnect All

Studios also includes Reconnect All. This operation checks the current authorization status of connected channels and refreshes available channel metrics.

When one or more validations succeed, the interface can display All channels refreshed.

Failed Refresh

If the refresh request itself fails, the interface can display Failed to refresh channel data. Retry the request once and confirm that the external social account is still active.

When to Validate Channels

  • Before a large scheduled publishing campaign.
  • After a social provider password or security change.
  • When a channel shows expired or disconnected status.
  • When publishing unexpectedly fails for one specific social account.
  • When channel statistics are not updating as expected.

Do Not Change Provider Credentials

Channel validation is a normal user operation. Changing global provider App IDs, Client IDs, Client Secrets, or API credentials is not. If validation reports a service-level configuration issue, contact support.
