44.1 Service Actions

The Bookable Service Catalog provides normal User Portal actions for maintaining services after creation.

44.2 Edit Service

Select Edit service to reopen an existing Bookable Service.

The editor restores the current:

  • Business.
  • Service Name.
  • Duration.
  • Price.
  • Description.
  • Business-Hours setting.
  • Slot Interval.
  • Buffers.
  • Custom Service Hours when applicable.

44.3 Update Booking Service

After making changes, select Update booking service.

The existing service record is updated rather than creating another service.

44.4 Active Status

An Active Booking Service is available to customers on the applicable public booking experience.

44.5 Pause Service

Select Pause when the service should temporarily stop appearing as an active booking option.

The service remains in the Bookable Service Catalog for later use.

44.6 Activate Service

Select Activate on a Paused service when customers should be able to select it again.

44.7 Generate Content

Each Bookable Service provides a Generate content action that opens the user-facing Content Writer with service context.

The supplied context can include:

  • Business.
  • Service Name.
  • Service Price when available.
  • Duration.
  • Description.
  • A goal focused on driving appointment requests.

44.8 Delete Booking Service

Select Delete when a Bookable Service should be permanently removed.

The confirmation message explains that deleting the service removes it from Booking Pages.

44.9 Existing Bookings Are Retained

Deleting a Booking Service does not remove its existing Booking records from the Booking workspace.

The interface explicitly states that existing Bookings remain for reporting.

44.10 Choosing Pause Versus Delete

Use Pause when the service may return later. Use Delete only when the service itself should no longer remain in the Bookable Service Catalog.
