Knowledge Sources require ongoing review as website pages, documents, integrations, and business information change.
The Sources page provides user-facing actions for refreshing list status, previewing extracted content, reindexing a Source, and deleting a Source.
Select Refresh above Existing Sources to retrieve the latest Source states.
The control is specifically intended for checking updated status after a background crawl finishes.
Refreshing the list does not itself re-crawl every Source.
Select the Preview control beside a Source to inspect What the AI sees for this source.
Preview before and after maintenance when you need to determine whether the extracted text is actually useful.
Select Reindex beside a Source when you want AIUNIFY Chat to process it again.
The deployed operation:
After requesting Reindex, allow the background job to run and use Refresh to check the new status.
Typical reasons include:
The What the AI knows page also provides Reindex for individual URL-backed Documents.
The interface describes this as re-crawling the page and rebuilding its Chunks.
This is useful when one Document needs attention without treating the entire Agent Knowledge collection as a problem.
The Sources page provides a delete control for Sources when the user's workspace permissions allow it.
Select the delete action and confirm Delete this source? only after verifying that the correct Source was selected.
Remove Sources that are:
Use Reindex when the Source is still valid but needs to be processed again.
Use Delete when the Source itself should no longer be part of the Agent's Knowledge.
After Reindex or other Knowledge maintenance:
A large number of Sources is not automatically better than a smaller, accurate Knowledge base. Maintain current, authoritative content and remove conflicting or obsolete material so retrieval remains useful and predictable.
