39.1 Opening Customize

From the Agent workspace, select Customize appearance. The Customize page is titled Customize widget voice and look and controls how the Agent presents itself to website visitors.

39.2 Persona Display Name

The Persona section contains the visitor-facing Display name.

This is separate from the Agent Name used internally in the workspace.

For example, an internally named Agent such as “Website Sales Agent” could display a visitor-facing Persona name such as “AIUNIFY Assistant.”

39.3 Changing the Display Name

  1. Open the Agent.
  2. Select Customize appearance.
  3. Locate Persona.
  4. Change Display name.
  5. Review the Live preview.
  6. Select Save customization.

39.4 Theme Colors

The Theme section provides:

  • Primary color
  • Accent

Use these controls to align the Chat widget with the website's visual identity.

The interface provides preview swatches for both colors.

39.5 Widget Position

The deployed Customize page provides three position choices:

  • Centered bar — the default bottom-center omnibar presentation.
  • Bottom right — a floating bubble pinned to the lower-right corner.
  • Bottom left — the mirrored lower-left presentation.

39.6 Choosing the Position

Select a position based on the website's layout and other floating controls. For example, use Bottom left when the right edge is already occupied by another widget or important control.

39.7 Live Preview

The Customize page includes a Live preview that provides an approximation of the visitor experience.

The preview can reflect the Persona Display name, theme styling, and other visitor-facing configuration while you edit.

39.8 Customize vs. Agent Settings

Use Settings for Agent identity/instructions, Retrieval confidence, origins, paths, Auto-Indexing, and installation.

Use Customize for the visitor-facing presentation, Lead form behavior, response guardrails, and starter prompts.

39.9 Saving Customization

After reviewing the visitor presentation, select Save customization.

For meaningful live changes, test the Agent and follow the Agent's publication workflow as appropriate before assuming the changed visitor experience is ready for production.

39.10 Design Best Practices

  • Use a clear Display name.
  • Choose readable theme colors with adequate contrast.
  • Avoid placing the widget over important website controls.
  • Review the Live preview before saving.
  • Test the final placement on desktop and mobile pages.
