29.1 Protecting Conversation History

Conversation history can contain visitor questions, Agent responses, captured Lead context, human replies, Internal Notes, Tags, transfer history, and other operational information.

Normal users should treat that history as an important business record.

29.2 Use Search and Filters

When the Conversations list becomes large, use Search and available filters to narrow the records you need to review instead of removing historical data.

29.3 Review the Complete Thread

Open the Conversation before deciding that it is no longer operationally important. Even a short thread may contain visitor intent, Lead context, or useful Agent-quality information.

29.4 Use Tags

Where Tag controls are available, use Tags to classify and organize Conversations without changing the visitor's original thread.

29.5 Use Internal Notes

Use Internal Notes for operator-only context, follow-up information, and handoff details that should not be shown to the visitor.

29.6 Use Transfer When Appropriate

If another eligible operator should continue a live Conversation, use the normal Transfer workflow rather than recreating the Conversation elsewhere.

29.7 Preserve Lead Context

If a Conversation has an associated Lead, review that Lead before considering the Conversation irrelevant. The thread may explain why the visitor became a Lead and what follow-up is needed.

29.8 Destructive Operations

Conversation deletion, bulk deletion, and Workspace cleanup functions are outside the scope of this User Operations Manual.
