Security settings provide the normal account-user controls for changing a password and, when available to the account, managing two-factor authentication.
The password-change form requires:
Use a long, unique password that is not reused for unrelated services.
When two-factor authentication management is available, Security settings contains a Two-factor authentication section.
AIUNIFY Chat uses time-based one-time-password authentication with a TOTP-compatible application.
The setup workflow can provide both a QR code and a manual setup key. Use only one trusted authenticator application to complete setup unless your organization's security procedure instructs otherwise.
Treat the manual setup key as sensitive account-security information.
After 2FA is active, AIUNIFY Chat prompts for a secure code during login. Obtain the current code from the TOTP-compatible authenticator associated with your account.
Recovery codes provide an alternative when the normal authenticator is unavailable.
If two-factor authentication is currently enabled and the account is permitted to manage it, Security settings provides a Disable 2FA action.
Disable 2FA only when there is a legitimate account-security reason to do so.
If a security update fails, review the validation message presented by the interface. For password changes, confirm the current password and both new-password fields. For 2FA, confirm that the authenticator is using the setup information associated with the current AIUNIFY Chat account.
