Tasks are the primary unit through which AIUNIFY CRM records operational work time.
Time can be captured through active Timers and Timesheet entries and can become financially significant when the Task is billable.
When the Timer action is available and you satisfy the Task assignment requirements:
The CRM contains a rule that can require the signed-in user to be an Assignee before starting the Task Timer.
If you need to work on a Task that is not assigned to you, correct the operational assignment rather than trying to bypass the Timer restriction.
Stop a Timer promptly when you stop working.
Running Timers can affect total logged time and can block Project invoicing when they exist on billable Tasks.
When manual time entry is available, use it for legitimate work that was not captured correctly by an active Timer.
Review Start Time, End Time, Task, and staff relationship carefully before saving.
AIUNIFY CRM totals the time recorded against a Task.
Logged time can appear in:
A Task can be marked as billable when it belongs to an appropriate Customer/Project billing workflow.
Billable Tasks can also use an Hourly Rate.
When Task Hours are used for Project billing, logged time multiplied by the applicable Task hourly rate can contribute to the Project financial calculation.
The Task table provides billable/billed filtering to users who have the applicable Invoice creation access.
Use these filters to identify Tasks that:
The CRM can prevent starting a Timer on a Task that has already been billed.
This protects financial history from additional time being casually added after the Task's billable work has already become part of an Invoice.
If a Timer or Timesheet is inaccurate, use the permitted time-editing workflow to correct the actual entry.
Do not create a second offsetting Timesheet simply to make a total appear correct when the original record can legitimately be corrected.
